Two-day course: Transport Manager CPC Refresher
For Transport Managers who need a more in-depth refresher, this two-day course provides time to revisit the responsibilities of the role and examine compliance in greater detail.
It is particularly relevant where a Traffic Commissioner has indicated that further training is appropriate, or where a more substantial update is needed. The Senior Traffic Commissioner’s guidance identifies a two-day Transport Manager CPC refresher as a starting point for demonstrating Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in certain circumstances.
The course explores:
- The Transport Manager’s duty to exercise continuous and effective responsibility
- Operator licence requirements, conditions and undertakings
- Vehicle maintenance systems and safety inspections
- Driver management, drivers’ hours and records
- Safe loading, vehicle operation and compliance monitoring
- Recognising shortcomings, taking corrective action and keeping evidence of compliance
